Throughout the year, our students will go on an adventure with online characters and various classroom activities that teach about 5 various virtues/traits for fruitful living and school success. These virtues/traits are : COURAGE, GRIT, WISDOM,CARE, and CELEBRATION.
As your school counselor I implement various lessons and activities in these three types of counseling settings in order to:
To help students to develop self-understanding and self-awareness
To encourage students to recognize and make the best use of their abilities
To provide opportunities for students to experience success
To help students build self-confidence
To help students adapt to school and social situations
To assist students in the transitional process
To develop students’ awareness of the world of work
To teach students the decision-making/problem solving process
To encourage students to recognize, understand, and work through learning differences
To give students an opportunity to talk about educational and personal/social concerns
