Our 3rd graders have been classifying animals in their nonfiction reading unit. Today they read about warm-blooded, egg laying vertebrates, that have light bones, wings and feathers-BIRDS! They even observed their beaks and feet to predict eating habits and habitats. The students loved getting to see how their arm span compared to a Bald Eagle’s wingspan! Thank you to Ms. Threet for making two eagles for the students!!!
